Safeguarding

At Seedlings Tale, safeguarding is our top priority. Our setting is constantly risk assessed and we ensure that the environment is safe and all activities are suitable for multiple age ranges. We promote children’s welfare by supporting their physical, emotional, social and educational development.

All staff are appropriately vetted and trained in safeguarding, with a minimum of Level 2 in safeguarding, food hygiene and paediatric first aid.

We take all reasonable steps to ensure children are safe, protected from harm and able to grow, learn, and develop in a secure and supportive environment.

A full breakdown of our ‘Safeguarding & Child Protection Policies’ is provided to all parents who view the setting, as part of our Parent Pack.

Policies

We are open all year round except Christmas and bank holidays, Mon-Fri, 08:00-18:00. Occasionally, we will provide early starts and late finishes but these are adhoc and not permanent.

We do not provide term-time only care. We understand that this may be difficult, for teachers particularly, but with limited spaces we cannot hold spaces during school holiday periods.

We have a minimum 2 contracted days per week policy. This helps us to avoid a high turnover of children, meaning less key children for our staff and therefore better standards of care.

You and your child’s information are of the utmost importance to us and stored securely and confidentially, in accordance with GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. No information will be shared without consent.

Any complaints are taken extremely serious at our setting. We have cameras operating and recording during business hours in each of the areas where care is provided. Access to this cannot be provided to parents for confidentiality reasons. Complaints can be raised to our manager or if that feels insufficient the owner. Depending on the severity of the complaint, Ofsted can be contacted directly and all necessary contact numbers can be found at our setting.

A full list of our Policies can be found in our ‘Policies & Procedures’ document, provided to parents following a viewing.

Fees

Our fees are clear and transparent to parents, regardless of the use of funding or not, and provided in advance of sign up in our Parent Pack.

Our fees are location dependant and can be found in our parent pack, provided upon viewing our setting.
